The Kalimaati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has fixed the wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today.
According to the Committee, large tomatoes (Indian) are priced at Rs 70 per kg, small local tomatoes at Rs 40 per kg, small tunnel tomatoes at Rs 55 per kg, small Indian tomatoes at Rs 50 per kg, and small Terai tomatoes at Rs 50 per kg. Red potatoes cost Rs 26 per kg, Indian red potatoes Rs 25 per kg, and dried Indian onions Rs 38 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs 60 per kg and Terai carrots at Rs 50 per kg. Local cabbage costs Rs 50 per kg, Terai cabbage Rs 35 per kg, and Naribal cabbage Rs 40 per kg. Local cauliflower is priced at Rs 35 per kg, Jyapu local cauliflower at Rs 50 per kg, and Terai cauliflower at Rs 35 per kg. Red radish costs Rs 35 per kg, white local radish Rs 15 per kg, and hybrid white radish Rs 20 per kg. Long brinjal and round brinjal are both priced at Rs 55 per kg.
Green peas cost Rs 55 per kg. Local broad beans are priced at Rs 130 per kg, hybrid broad beans at Rs 120 per kg, and rajma beans at Rs 130 per kg. Flat beans cost Rs 70 per kg, bitter gourd Rs 180 per kg, sponge gourd Rs 140 per kg, bottle gourd Rs 90 per kg, ripe pumpkin Rs 55 per kg, and green pumpkin (long and round) Rs 20 per kg. Turnip costs Rs 50 per kg, okra Rs 150 per kg, sweet potato Rs 70 per kg, barela Rs 60 per kg, taro root Rs 65 per kg, and chayote Rs 60 per kg.
Mustard greens are priced at Rs 25 per kg, spinach Rs 35 per kg, cress leaves Rs 30 per kg, mustard leaf greens Rs 25 per kg, fenugreek leaves Rs 40 per kg, green onion Rs 40 per kg, broad beans (bakula) Rs 60 per kg, yam Rs 80 per kg, oyster mushroom Rs 130 per kg, button mushroom Rs 450 per kg, king oyster mushroom Rs 300 per kg, and shiitake mushroom Rs 1,000 per kg.
Broccoli costs Rs 50 per kg, beetroot Rs 65 per kg, drumstick leaves Rs 300 per kg, red cabbage Rs 80 per kg, jute leaves Rs 60 per kg, knolkhol Rs 60 per kg, celery Rs 180 per kg, parsley Rs 400 per kg, fennel leaves Rs 40 per kg, mint Rs 350 per kg, round radish Rs 50 per kg, tamarind Rs 180 per kg, bamboo shoot Rs 130 per kg, tofu Rs 150 per kg, gundruk Rs 300 per kg, and tree tomato Rs 280 per kg.
Among fruits, local apples (loose) are priced at Rs 250 per kg and Fuji apples at Rs 300 per kg. Bananas cost Rs 190 per dozen, lemons Rs 240 per kg, pomegranate Rs 330 per kg, green grapes Rs 260 per kg, black grapes Rs 400 per kg, Indian oranges Rs 170 per kg, green watermelon Rs 90 per kg, sweet lime Rs 130 per kg, junar Rs 130 per kg, pineapple Rs 145 per piece, local cucumber Rs 160 per kg, hybrid cucumber Rs 80 per kg, local cross cucumber Rs 150 per kg, lime Rs 65 per kg, Chinese pear Rs 250 per kg, Nepali papaya Rs 70 per kg, Indian papaya Rs 110 per kg, lapsi Rs 150 per kg, kinnow Rs 130 per kg, strawberry Rs 500 per kg, kiwi Rs 260 per kg, and avocado Rs 350 per kg.
