Baitadi, Nepal — A jeep accident late last night has claimed the life of one person in Baitadi District.
The accident occurred on the interior road in Shivnath Rural Municipality–3, where a jeep bearing registration Suprap 04–011 J 0069 was traveling from Bachhala to Bachra when it met with a mishap.
According to police spokesperson Inspector Suraj Singh of the District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old driver Keshav Singh Dhami from Shivnath-2. Dhami sustained serious injuries in the accident and died while being taken to Dadeldhura for treatment.
Police said the jeep was traveling with only the driver on board and had fallen about 200 meters down from the road, prompting ongoing investigation by authorities.
Previous reports have also highlighted vehicle accidents in Baitadi, including a jeep crash that killed one and injured several others in a different incident, and a separate tragic jeep accident in Patan Municipality that claimed multiple lives.
