The District Administration Office of Rautahat District has continued the curfew in several areas of Gaur Municipality. Although it was briefly relaxed from 6:30 am to 8:30 am today, the curfew has now been reimposed until further notice.
According to a decision by the District Security Committee, Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal confirmed that the curfew will remain in effect until another official notice is issued.
The curfew area extends from Mudbalwa Gate in the east to Lalbakaiya embankment in the west, from the Bus Park area in the north to the Gaur Customs Office in the south within Gaur.
The District Administration Office has urged everyone to cooperate in maintaining peace and security. It has also warned that legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the curfew order.
The curfew was imposed following a dispute on Saturday morning in Ward No. 6 of Gaur Municipality. The conflict reportedly began in Sangada village after a disagreement arose between members of the Muslim and Hindu communities during prayer time, which later escalated into a violent clash.
