A motorcycle rally was organized in Kathmandu on Sunday demanding the release of Durga Prasai.
Monarchist supporters gathered at Maitighar Mandala and staged the rally, urging the government to immediately release Prasai. Participants also chanted strong slogans against the government, accusing it of unlawfully arresting him.
Prasai was arrested on Monday, Falgun 4, from his residence in Bhaktapur. Protesting against his arrest, rally participants raised the main slogan of reinstating Nepal as a Hindu state and also voiced anti-republican slogans.
The rally began at Maitighar Mandala and concluded at Bhadra Kali Temple.
