Due to the partial influence of westerly winds, slight changes have been observed in the weather across various parts of Nepal. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology Nepal, there is currently partial cloud cover in Karnali Province and the country’s high hilly and mountainous regions, while the weather remains generally clear elsewhere.
This afternoon, hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to experience partly cloudy conditions. Although some Terai regions may see morning fog, the weather is expected to remain mainly clear during the day. There is a possibility of light rainfall and snowfall at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, partial cloud cover is forecast in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country is expected to remain clear. Some Terai areas may experience mist during the night. Light rain and snowfall are also likely at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
The department has urged the public to take precautions against cold conditions caused by fog, mist, and snowfall, and to exercise special caution while traveling in hilly areas. Preparations are advised to minimize possible impacts on daily life and public health.
