The Nepali Congress has extended financial support of Rs. 500,000 for the medical treatment of Sabitra Bhandari, captain of the Nepal National Women’s Football Team.
A statement issued by Krishna Prasad Dulal, Chief Secretary at the party’s central office, confirmed that the party is contributing to support Samba’s treatment.
The statement read: “Contributing to her treatment is a responsibility for all of us. In this context, Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwprakash Sharma communicated with the President of the All Nepal Football Association via phone and, as committed, the party deposited Rs. 500,000 into ANFA’s account at Global IME Bank Limited for the player’s treatment fund.”
Party President Gagan Thapa expressed high respect for the renowned footballer, acknowledging her significant contribution to enhancing the country’s reputation, and emphasized that it is crucial for everyone to support her at this time.
