A lightning strike has killed a 12-year-old girl and injured two others in Bunkot, Gorkha.
According to Aarughat Basic Hospital, the incident occurred at around 4:00 pm on Tuesday when lightning struck and killed Dilisha Gharti Magar, 12, of Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality–8, Bunkot in Gorkha.
Two others were injured in the same incident. The injured are 13-year-old Diksha Gharti Magar of the same locality and 24-year-old Birendra Thapa Magar of Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality–6.
The lightning strike occurred at Mulpani Khursanitar in Tripurasundari Rural Municipality–3, Dhading district. All three victims were rushed to the hospital, but Dilisha had already passed away by the time they arrived.
The hospital stated in a press release that the condition of the two injured individuals is normal.
