The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the wholesale prices of agricultural produce for today.
According to the committee, large tomatoes (Indian) are priced at Rs 75 per kg, small local tomatoes at Rs 35 per kg, small Indian tomatoes at Rs 35 per kg, and small Terai tomatoes at Rs 44 per kg. Red potatoes cost Rs 23 per kg, Indian red potatoes Rs 24 per kg, and dry Indian onions Rs 36 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs 40 per kg, Terai carrots at Rs 25, local cabbage at Rs 45, local cauliflower at Rs 60, Jyapu cauliflower at Rs 80, white radish (hybrid) at Rs 30, long eggplant at Rs 70, and round eggplant at Rs 80 per kg.
Among other vegetables, yardlong beans cost Rs 90 per kg, green peas Rs 80, local broad beans Rs 80, hybrid broad beans Rs 60, rajma beans Rs 120, flat beans Rs 110, soybean pods Rs 340, bitter gourd Rs 80, bottle gourd Rs 40, pointed gourd (local) Rs 100, snake gourd Rs 70, sponge gourd Rs 50, ridge gourd Rs 110, ripe pumpkin Rs 60, green long pumpkin Rs 40, green round pumpkin Rs 50, okra Rs 110, sweet potato Rs 80, bitter gourd (barela) Rs 60, taro root Rs 50, and chayote Rs 70 per kg.
Leafy greens include mustard greens at Rs 70 per kg, spinach at Rs 110, cress at Rs 110, mustard leaves at Rs 40, fenugreek leaves at Rs 110, green onions at Rs 100, broad beans (bakula) Rs 50, yam Rs 50, oyster mushrooms Rs 200, button mushrooms Rs 400, king mushrooms Rs 300, and shiitake mushrooms Rs 1,000 per kg.
