In a tragic accident on the East-West Highway in Bastiipur, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–19, Makwanpur, a truck collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of two people.
The truck, coming from Newarpani toward Hetauda, struck a motorcycle with the registration number Na 43 Pa 221, which was heading from Hetauda to Manahari.
The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Sanjit Syangtang and 18-year-old Amosh Thing from Raksirang Rural Municipality–1, Makwanpur.
Both were critically injured and taken to Churehill Hospital in Hetauda for treatment, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
Meanwhile, the police have taken control of the truck involved in the collision. The truck with registration number Ga 2 Kh 898 was recovered from a garage in Pratimachok, Birgunj Metropolitan City–13.
The driver of the truck, 36-year-old Anil Sah from Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City–3, Bara, is currently being sought by authorities.
