A clash broke out between cadres of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) and Rastriya Swatantra Party in Baitadi, leaving three people injured.
According to the District Police Office, the incident occurred at around 7:50 pm on Wednesday in Lek Tole of Dhamigaun, Dilasaini Rural Municipality–7, during a door-to-door campaign. Information about the clash was provided by Police Inspector Suraj Singh, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Baitadi.
Those injured include Janak Dhami, approximately 28, and Madhav Dhami, approximately 26, both residents of Dilasaini–7 and affiliated with the UML’s youth wing in Baitadi. Janak sustained injuries to his head and forehead, while Madhav suffered injuries to his back and leg.
Both injured individuals are receiving treatment at Gokuleshwar Hospital, and their condition is reported to be normal.
Similarly, Lal Singh Dhami of the Rastriya Swatantra Party sustained minor injuries, police said.
Police have taken around four to five RSP supporters into custody. The District Police Office, Baitadi, stated that further investigation is underway after a police team reached the incident site.
