Nepal Tourism Board has issued a travel advisory stating that Nepal remains open for tourism despite the upcoming election.
The Board informed that on the day of voting, shuttle bus services will be operated to facilitate transportation for tourists between the airport and hotels, and from hotels to the airport.
It also stated that companies willing to transport tourists will be provided with recommendation letters to obtain vehicle passes from the respective District Administration Offices.
The Board further clarified that all border points will be closed 72 hours prior to the election. However, throughout the election period, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and major historical sites across the country will remain open for visitors.
