Karnali — The Karnali Province Government has appointed Rabindra Chand as the Member Secretary of the Karnali Province Sports Development Council.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting held earlier today. Chand was selected from a shortlist recommended by a selection committee.
Previously, on Magh 3, the selection committee had conducted interviews and recommended three candidates for the position: Rabindra Chand, Deepak Hamal, and Pramod Hamal.
According to the committee’s evaluation, Chand secured the highest score of 67.17 marks, followed by Deepak Hamal with 60.63 and Pramod Hamal with 52.37.
Initially, 21 candidates had applied for the post, out of which 10 were shortlisted for interviews. Based on interviews and overall evaluation, the top three candidates were recommended to the Cabinet, which ultimately appointed Chand to the position.
Government spokesperson and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives, Binod Kumar Shah, confirmed the appointment.
