Two matches are being played today under the Prime Minister Cup (PM Cup) cricket tournament.
Madhesh Province faces Lumbini Province in Janakpur, while Koshi Province takes on Sudurpashchim Province in Parsa.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal, both matches are being played in a one-day format starting from 9:00 AM.
The tournament features a total of 10 teams, including seven provincial teams and three departmental sides: Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and APF Club, along with Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
The competition is being conducted in a single round-robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the final.
So far, only departmental teams have won the PM Cup. Nepal Police Club holds the record with four titles, while Tribhuvan Army Club and APF Club have won the tournament twice each. Nepal Police Club is also the defending champion.
The winner of the one-day format PM Cup will receive a cash prize of NPR 1 million, while the runner-up will receive NPR 500,000, as informed by the association.
