Pyuthan — At least 16 people were injured after a mini bus met with an accident at Aahalkhola in Jhimruk Rural Municipality–3 on Friday morning.
The “On Test” jumbo traveler mini bus operated by Swargadwari Yatayat Pvt. Ltd. was en route from Bandikot, Pyuthan to Butwal when it crashed around 7:20 AM along the Aahalkhola–Chisapani section.
According to police, all injured passengers have been taken to Pyuthan Hospital and Nimtala Polyclinic for treatment.
Among the injured, 51-year-old Bimala Bista of Pyuthan Municipality–2, Kwadi, sustained a head injury and has been referred to Butwal for further treatment. The condition of the other injured passengers is reported to be normal.
Other injured individuals include Kesar Sejuwal and Padma Sejuwal from Lamahi, Dang; Prakash MC, Sushant MC, and Kamala MC from Jhimruk–2, Bandikot; Kamala KC, Rupesh Pokhrel, Sushila Pokhrel, Hira GC, Bishal Pokhrel, Pratap MC, Parbat Khatri, Bindos KC, Ramita KC, and Prayas KC.
Police said most victims suffered minor injuries to the head, limbs, and other parts of the body.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident.
