Kathmandu — Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Balen Shah, has been appointed as the Prime Minister of Nepal.
According to Ram Chandra Paudel, Shah was officially appointed this morning, as confirmed by Presidential Press Advisor Kiran Pokharel.
Prime Minister Shah is scheduled to take the oath of office later today at the Shital Niwas at 12:34 PM, considered an auspicious time. The government is being formed under Article 76 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, indicating a single-party majority government.
Invitations have already been extended to leaders of various political parties, members of the diplomatic community, civil society representatives, and senior government officials to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
It is also understood that members of the Council of Ministers will take their oath alongside the Prime Minister.
