Kathmandu — The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has called an emergency Secretariat meeting following the arrest of its chairman K.P. Sharma Oli.
According to party secretary Mahesh Basnet, the बैठक has been scheduled for 8:30 AM today to discuss the latest developments and determine the party’s official stance.
Oli was arrested early Saturday morning from his residence in Gundhu, Bhaktapur, based on the investigation commission’s report regarding the Bhadra 23–24 Gen-Z protest incidents.
Basnet stated that the बैठक aims to formulate the party’s official position after the newly formed government moved forward with the arrest in line with the commission’s recommendations.
