Kathmandu — Activists of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) have taken to the streets in protest against the arrest of party chairman K.P. Sharma Oli.
UML workers gathered in the Chabahil area of Kathmandu, raising loud slogans against the government. Oli was arrested early Saturday morning from his residence in Gundhu, Bhaktapur.
Meanwhile, the UML Secretariat is holding an emergency meeting at the party’s central office in Chyasal to issue the official party stance on the arrest.
