Kathmandu — Following the arrest of former Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Ramesh Lekhak, the Nepali Congress has called an emergency executive meeting.
According to Deputy General Secretary Yogendra Chaudhary, the meeting is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday at the party office in Sanepa.
The arrest comes a day after the new government, led by senior Balen Shah of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, took office. Police detained former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Lekhak early Saturday morning over allegations of violent suppression during the Gen-Z protests.
