Nepal Police has stated that former Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak have not yet been questioned.
According to police, further investigation procedures will move forward after the two are presented in court on Sunday following their arrest on Saturday.
Oli and Lekhak were detained early Saturday morning based on the recommendation of a high-level probe commission formed to investigate the use of force and damages during the Gen Z protests that took place last Bhadra (August–September).
After his arrest, Oli was taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for a medical check-up and has been kept there citing health reasons.
Meanwhile, former Home Minister Lekhak, who is also a leader of the Nepali Congress, spent last night in police custody.
