Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, appeared at the Kathmandu District Court to register his attendance in a case related to alleged misappropriation of cooperative savings.
He arrived at the court a short while ago, completed the required formalities, and left after receiving the next hearing date. Cases related to cooperative fraud are ongoing against him in five different districts.
The court has summoned him to appear again on Baisakh 15 for the next date. He had previously been released on bail by the same court in connection with the cooperative fraud case.
A case was filed against 39 individuals, including Lamichhane, over the alleged misuse of savings at Swarnalakshmi Multipurpose Cooperative, located in Kalimati, Kathmandu.
