The influence of westerly winds along with local winds is currently affecting Nepal. As a result, the hilly and Himalayan regions are generally cloudy, while the remaining areas are experiencing partly cloudy conditions.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division, light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is occurring at one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
This afternoon, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly and Himalayan regions, while the Terai will see partly cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning, as well as snowfall, at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. Similar conditions are likely at one or two places in the Terai of Koshi Province and Madhesh Province, as well as in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly and Himalayan regions, including Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces, while the remaining Terai areas will experience partly cloudy weather. There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and lightning, along with snowfall, at one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces.
