Twelve people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on the East-West Highway in Gaindakot, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).
According to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), the accident occurred Monday morning near Hanuman Temple in Gaindakot Municipality–9. A bus (registration Lu 01–001 Kh 0910) traveling from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu collided with a pickup van (Ba 01–028 Ch 5004) heading toward Bhedabari and a truck (Ba 3 Kh 3163) traveling in the same direction.
The truck driver, 32-year-old Indra Tamang from Khandadevi Rural Municipality–4, Ramechhap; the pickup driver, 33-year-old Darshan Kapri from Bharatpur Metropolitan City–12, Chitwan; and the bus driver, 41-year-old Mohan Singh Balami Magar from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City–20, Banke, were all injured in the crash.
Additionally, nine passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries. All the injured have been taken to Chitwan for medical treatment.
