Riders associated with various ride-sharing companies staged a protest in Kathmandu, alleging labor exploitation by the platforms. The demonstration was organized by the Independent Drivers Foundation Nepal.
Protesters gathered at Maitighar Mandala with their motorcycles and scooters before marching through different parts of the city in a rally.
They demanded fare adjustments in line with rising fuel prices, proper implementation of insurance coverage, and a reduction in the commission charged by ride-sharing companies, among other demands.
After assembling at Maitighar with their motorcycles, the riders conducted a motorcycle rally across various locations in the city as part of their protest.
