The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly winds along with local wind systems. At present, the weather is generally cloudy over the hilly regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as other hilly areas across the country, while the rest of the regions are experiencing mostly clear weather. Light rainfall is occurring at one or two places in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.
According to the department, this afternoon, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces and other parts of the country, while the Terai region will see partly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, gusty winds, hail, and snowfall at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi Province and at a few other locations across the country.
Similarly, tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the Himalayan region of Koshi Province, partly cloudy in the hilly regions, and mostly clear in the Terai. Light rainfall with thunder and lightning, along with possible snowfall, is likely at one or two places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
