The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly winds along with local air systems.
Due to this impact, the hilly and Himalayan regions of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province, Sudurpashchim Province, and Lumbini Province are experiencing generally cloudy conditions.
This afternoon, the Himalayan region across the country will remain mostly cloudy, while the hilly and Terai regions will see partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of light rain with thunder and lightning, as well as light snowfall, at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi Province, and at one or two locations in the Himalayan areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Tonight, the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will remain generally cloudy, while the rest of the Himalayan areas will be partly cloudy. Weather in the hilly and Terai regions is expected to remain mostly clear.
The Division has also indicated the possibility of light rain and snowfall at one or two places in the Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
