The 20th session of Nepal’s National Assembly is set to begin today, with the meeting scheduled to start at 2 PM, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
In preparation for the session, National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal held a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee on Wednesday.
According to Parliament Secretary General Padma Prasad Pandey, the session will begin with the Chairperson informing members about the letter sent by President Ram Chandra Paudel regarding the convening of the session.
Similarly, Chairperson Dahal will also read out a letter from the Office of the President concerning the formation of the Council of Ministers and the allocation of responsibilities.
Discussions are also likely to take place regarding preparations for the election of the National Assembly Vice-Chairperson and the chairs of various committees.
