Harka Sampang, chair of the Shram Sanskriti Party and a member of Nepal’s House of Representatives, has called for an end to the practice of “saving laws by killing people.”
Through a message posted on social media, he stressed the need for human-centered development and argued that laws should exist for people, not people for laws.
“Let us end the practice of protecting laws at the cost of people’s lives. Laws are not for their own sake, but for human beings,” he wrote. “Let’s pursue human-centered development. Jai Maato! Jai Desh!!”
