The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a modest gain on the last trading day of the week, rising by 5.82 points to close at 2,782.18.
According to NEPSE, shares of 328 companies totaling 21,318,929 units were traded in 103,225 transactions, generating a turnover of NPR 8,81,97,23,335.29.
By sector, sub-indices for Banking (−0.11%), Finance (−0.87%), Life Insurance (−0.19%), Microfinance (−0.29%), Non-life Insurance (−0.33%), and Others (−0.02%) declined. All other sectors advanced.
Gainers included Development Banks (+0.48%), Hotels & Tourism (+0.39%), Hydropower (+0.05%), Investment (+0.15%), Manufacturing & Processing (+1.76%), Mutual Funds (+0.12%), and Trading (+2.53%).
Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Rizeline Energy Limited, and Suryakund Hydroelectric Limited hit the positive circuit limit. Meanwhile, Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited recorded the steepest drop, falling 3.06%.
In terms of turnover, SY Panel Nepal Limited led with transactions worth NPR 35,70,12,589. By volume, Kumari Bank Limited topped the list with 1,079,921 shares traded.
