The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Armed Police Inspector Okil Adhikari from Lalgarh, Dhanusha for allegedly accepting a bribe of NPR 40,000.
According to the CIAA, a complaint was received stating that Inspector Adhikari had demanded a bribe and created unnecessary obstacles in the Kamala–Dhalkewar–Bagmati road construction section, specifically during soil and gravel filling operations.
The CIAA’s Bardibas regional team had been monitoring the situation based on the complaint and apprehended him on the morning of Chaitra 20 in Lalgarh while in possession of the bribe money.
Further investigation into the case is ongoing, the CIAA confirmed.
