In the Nepalese market on Friday, gold prices remained stable while silver recorded a slight rise.
Gold was traded at NPR 294,000 per tola, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Association. Silver, on the other hand, increased to NPR 4,830 per tola.
On Thursday, gold had decreased by NPR 3,600 per tola to reach NPR 294,000, after rising by NPR 7,400 per tola on Wednesday to NPR 297,600. Silver had dropped by NPR 165 per tola on Thursday to NPR 4,780, following a rate of NPR 4,945 per tola on Wednesday.
On Magh 15, gold prices surged by NPR 20,500 in a single day, reaching NPR 339,300 per tola, marking the highest price recorded in the Nepalese market to date.
