In the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Chennai Super Kings by 43 runs in last night’s match.
Chasing a target of 251 runs set by Bengaluru, Chennai were bowled out for 207 runs in 19.4 overs.
For Bengaluru, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets. Jacob Duffy, Abhinandan Singh, and Krunal Pandya claimed two wickets each, while Suyash Sharma took one. For Chennai, Sarfaraz Khan top-scored with 50 runs.
After losing the toss and batting first, Bengaluru posted 250 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
With the win, Bengaluru moved to the top of the table with four points. Chennai, having played three matches, remain winless and without points.
In another match played on Sunday afternoon, Lucknow Super Giants secured their first win of the season by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets. A half-century from Rishabh Pant guided Lucknow to victory.
At the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Lucknow chased down the 157-run target in 19.5 overs, losing five wickets. Earlier, Hyderabad, after being put in to bat, were all out for 156 runs in 20 overs.
With this win, Lucknow earned their first two points and sit seventh on the table, while Hyderabad, after three matches, are placed fifth.
On Monday, Punjab Kings will face Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, with the match scheduled to begin at 7:45 PM Nepali time.
