The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that Nepal is currently under the influence of a western low-pressure system along with local winds, resulting in generally cloudy conditions across the country.
This afternoon, skies will remain generally cloudy over Koshi Province and the country’s hilly and mountainous regions, while the remaining areas will experience partly cloudy weather. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall, at some places in the hilly and mountainous regions including Koshi Province, and at a few locations in Madhesh Province.
Tonight, weather conditions will remain generally cloudy in Koshi Province and the mountainous regions of the country. The hilly areas will see partly cloudy skies, while the Terai region is expected to have mostly clear weather.
The department has also indicated the possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning, along with snowfall, at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province, and at one or two places in other mountainous regions.
