Kathmandu — Former Prime Minister and KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairman of Nepal Communist Party (UML), and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak have been released on personal bail, following the directive of the Supreme Court.
According to the court’s order, both Oli and Lekhak are to be released on the condition that they appear whenever required.
The two leaders had been taken into custody on Chaitra 14 after a commission led by entity[“people”,”Gauribahadur Karki”,”investigation commission head”] recommended criminal investigation into the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24. The Kathmandu District Court had granted police custody for the third time before their release.
