Kathmandu — Ruvikumari Thakur from the Shram Sanskriti Party has filed her candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The 25-year-old candidate is backed by the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party. Her candidacy has been proposed by Aryan Rai and supported by Ashok Kumar Chaudhary.
Meanwhile, Saraswati Tamang from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has also registered her candidacy. Her proposal was put forward by party leader Gyanendra Shahi, with support from Tahir Ali, Khushbu Oli, and Bharat Giri.
