Ramchandra Paudel will address a joint sitting of both houses of the Federal Parliament of Nepal on Friday.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, the President will deliver the address at 3 PM during the joint session. The address is being made on the recommendation of the government, as provisioned in Article 95 of the Constitution.
During the address, the President will inform the House about the government’s policies and programs.
Meanwhile, the current session of both houses of the Federal Parliament will also conclude from midnight on Friday. Acting on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers made on Chaitra 24, the President has decided to end the session effective from 12:00 AM on Friday, Chaitra 27.
The government recommended ending the winter session of Parliament to prepare for the upcoming budget session. As per Nepal’s constitutional provisions, the President summons and prorogues Parliament on the recommendation of the government.
