The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 13.46 points on Friday, the last trading day of the week. Compared to the previous session, the index fell by 0.47 percent and closed at 2,837.77 points.
The Sensitive Index also dropped by 3.39 points to settle at 478.13, a decrease of 0.70 percent. Similarly, the Float Index declined by 0.64 percent and the Sensitive Float Index by 1.26 percent.
A total of 210,87,628 shares of 335 companies were traded in 97,480 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 8.99 billion on Friday.

Tuesday: Rs 6.73 billion
Wednesday: Rs 8.31 billion
Thursday: Rs 9.91 billion
Among 13 trading groups, only two sub-indices rose while 11 declined. The Commercial Bank group rose by 0.74 percent, Development Bank by 0.67 percent, Finance by 0.60 percent, and Hotels and Tourism by 0.44 percent. However, the Hydropower group slipped by 0.08 percent.
The Investment group fell by 1.12 percent and the Life Insurance group by 0.71 percent, while the Manufacturing and Processing group increased by 1.59 percent.
Microfinance dropped by 0.73 percent, Mutual Fund by 0.49 percent, Non-life Insurance by 0.48 percent, Others by 0.39 percent, and Trading by 0.06 percent.

Meanwhile, investors of NIC Asia Balanced Fund incurred a loss of 4.17 percent.
In terms of transaction value and volume, National Hydropower Company Limited led the market. Shares worth Rs 513.29 million were traded, with 1,641,255 units exchanged at a closing price of Rs 310.50 per share.
