Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party, has said that the decision to investigate the assets of top political leaders was made during his own tenure as Prime Minister.
Speaking to journalists at the party headquarters in Paris Danda, he stated, “The decision regarding asset investigation was taken during my time. I have said this many times.”
He also said it is too early to comment on the government led by Balen Shah, adding that he is observing the situation and hopes the government performs well.
The government has reportedly initiated the process to investigate the assets of senior leaders, including former Prime Ministers Prachanda, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and K P Sharma Oli, among others.
