The Kalimpati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has fixed today’s wholesale prices of agricultural produce.
According to the committee, big tomatoes (Indian) are priced at Rs 80 per kg, small local tomatoes at Rs 44 per kg, small Indian tomatoes at Rs 44 per kg, and Terai tomatoes at Rs 48 per kg. Red potatoes (local and Indian) are Rs 24 per kg, while dried onions (Indian) are Rs 37 per kg.
Among vegetables, local carrots cost Rs 50 per kg and Terai carrots Rs 35. Local cabbage is Rs 60, local cauliflower Rs 55, and Jyapu cauliflower Rs 70 per kg. Red radish is Rs 35, white hybrid radish Rs 30, long brinjal Rs 60, and round brinjal Rs 70 per kg.
Beans (stalk) are Rs 100 per kg, peas Rs 80, local ghee beans Rs 60, hybrid ghee beans Rs 50, rajma beans Rs 120, flat beans Rs 120, soybean pods Rs 220, bitter gourd Rs 80, bottle gourd Rs 20, pointed gourd (local) Rs 100, snake gourd Rs 70, sponge gourd Rs 50, ripe pumpkin Rs 60, green pumpkin (long) Rs 30, green pumpkin (round) Rs 40, okra Rs 80, bitter cucumber Rs 90, taro root Rs 50, and chayote Rs 60 per kg.
Leafy greens and mushrooms include rayo saag at Rs 60, spinach Rs 100, cress Rs 120, mustard greens Rs 40, fenugreek Rs 120, green onion Rs 80, broad beans Rs 50, oyster mushrooms Rs 180, button mushrooms Rs 400, king mushrooms Rs 300, and shiitake mushrooms Rs 1,000 per kg.
Other items include asparagus Rs 450, fiddlehead fern Rs 80, broccoli Rs 60, beetroot Rs 50, moringa Rs 120, koiralo Rs 370, red cabbage Rs 40, jiri greens Rs 120, knol khol Rs 50, parsley Rs 220, fennel greens Rs 110, mint Rs 150, turnip Rs 50, tamarind Rs 180, bamboo shoot Rs 150, tofu Rs 150, and gundruk Rs 250 per kg.
Fruits and others: local apples Rs 250, Fuji apples Rs 320, lemon Rs 320, pomegranate Rs 380, green grapes Rs 230, black grapes Rs 350, Indian oranges Rs 160, watermelon Rs 45, pineapple Rs 160 per piece, local cucumber Rs 55, hybrid cucumber Rs 30, local cross cucumber Rs 50, jackfruit Rs 110, Nepali papaya Rs 70, Indian papaya Rs 90, and kiwi Rs 400 per kg.
Additionally, avocado is priced at Rs 800, ginger Rs 100, dried chili Rs 450, green chili Rs 90, bullet chili Rs 70, mache chili Rs 90, akabare chili Rs 380, bhade chili Rs 110, green garlic Rs 120, coriander leaves Rs 100, dried Chinese garlic Rs 220, dried Nepali garlic Rs 140, dried chayapi Rs 120, fresh chayapi Rs 90, dried fish Rs 1,000, and fresh fish—rohu Rs 340, bachuwa Rs 310, and chadi Rs 300 per kg.
