Two people have died in separate drowning incidents at different locations in Jajarkot district, police said.
A 13-year-old boy, Jeevan Malla, son of Ank Bahadur Malla of Nalgad Municipality–12, Avalgurta, drowned in the Bheri River on Thursday afternoon. His body has been kept at the Municipal Hospital in Dalli for post-mortem examination.
In another incident, the body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 45 years old, was found stuck in the Kidur Cheda stream at Chedagad Municipality–12.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. According to locals, the man is suspected to have been a worker at Lisa Company.
DSP Basant Kumar Sharma of the District Police Office, Jajarkot, said the unidentified body has been kept at the District Hospital, Jajarkot, and further investigation is underway.
