Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Anil Kumar Sinha has said that he will not accept pressure of any kind in carrying out his responsibilities.
Speaking briefly to journalists while assuming office at Singha Durbar on Sunday, Minister Sinha stated that the process of selecting leadership in institutions under his ministry would be carried out with a focus on the best interests of those institutions.
He said he would not make leadership appointments under anyone’s pressure or influence. Minister Sinha also clarified that information provided by the media would be given priority in his performance of duties.
“I am neither under pressure to appoint anyone nor will I accept pressure from anyone. Whatever I do will be in the interest of the concerned institutions. In the Himalayan regions, waste has accumulated extensively. The court has already issued an order on this matter. To implement that order, a strategy had been prepared, and I have approved that strategy,” he said.
On the same occasion, Minister Sinha also made his first decision related to the management of waste in the Himalayan regions. He said that since the court had already issued directives on the issue, he approved a strategy to move forward with its implementation.
Sinha has been assigned responsibility for the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
