Nepal Communist Party (UML) General Secretary candidate Shankar Pokhrel has made a special appeal centered on party unity and national responsibility ahead of the party’s 11th National Convention. With the aim of infusing new enthusiasm within party ranks, leader Pokhrel made his views public through social media. He emphasized that the UML’s upcoming journey is not limited merely to the selection of organizational leadership, but is closely linked to the broader communist movement and the security of the nation. Writing a Facebook status on Tuesday, he stated, “The protection of the party, the movement, and the nation is our collective responsibility. We will all unite, and we will all win.”
