The government has decided to accept a concessional loan of approximately NPR 14.38 billion from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for public financial management and transfer-related programs.
The Cabinet meeting held on Monday also decided to grant an exemption on capital gains tax for the transfer of 1–15–10 bigha of land located in Lahan Municipality of Siraha district, along with the building constructed on it, currently registered jointly in the names of Pawan Kumar Sharda and Murarilal Murarka. The property will be transferred in the name of Ramkumar Sharda Umaprasad Murarka Provincial Hospital.
The meeting further decided to form a delegation under the coordination of a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to participate in the 9th meeting of the Nepal–India Joint Agriculture Working Group, scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from Poush 12 to 14. This information was shared by government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel.
The Cabinet also approved temporary staffing for eight officer-level positions for the remaining period of the current fiscal year under the Irrigation Modernization Enhancement Project operated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
In addition, prior approval was granted to conduct an organizational and management survey of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and its affiliated bodies.
The meeting decided to transfer Armed Police Force Additional Inspectors General Narayandatta Poudel, Banshiraj Dahal, and Ganesh Bahadur Thadamagar.
Similarly, the Cabinet approved the promotion of two Major Generals of the Nepali Army to the rank of Lieutenant General and one Brigadier General to Major General, along with the transfer of six Lieutenant Generals and seven Major Generals, according to Minister Kharel.
