A teenager has been found murdered in Rupandehi. The body of 17-year-old Ishan Sharma Paudel, a resident of Kanchan Rural Municipality–3, Dhaulagiri Chowk, and a Taekwondo player, was discovered in a drainage canal.
According to police, Ishan, who had been missing since 8 PM on Wednesday, was found just 150 meters from his home with injuries to the back of his head.
Rupandehi Police spokesperson Suraj Karki stated that a week ago, there had been a dispute among friends over a girl at the school premises. It is suspected that this dispute may have led to his murder.
Police have increased surveillance in the area, and three individuals have been taken into custody while investigations continue from multiple angles.
