Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, has said that the fight for justice is still ongoing.
Addressing his supporters on Friday evening after being released upon submitting a bank guarantee at the Rupandehi District Court, Lamichhane said the battle is far from over. “This fight for justice is still mine to fight,” he said. “The fight I have yet to fight is not for myself, but for you and for justice in this country.”
He said there is still an account to be settled regarding the injustice done to him. “Compared to the injustice done to the country, the injustice done to me is nothing,” Lamichhane told supporters. “That must be accounted for. After settling that account, I will speak at length. For now, I will only say this—there is still an account to be settled, justice is still to be achieved.”
Lamichhane said the time for him to speak more has not yet come. “I hope this country will soon receive justice. The time for me to speak is coming—please be patient for a while. There is still a lot left to say,” he said.
He also thanked everyone who stood by him. “I sincerely thank everyone for this love, this support, this trust, and this continuous goodwill,” he said.
Saying he would speak more soon, Lamichhane added, “That’s all for today—the day to speak more is coming.”
After being released upon submitting a bank guarantee at the Rupandehi District Court, Lamichhane left for Chitwan. He is scheduled to address a program in Chitwan on Saturday.
