Leaders of the Nepali Congress have advised former Home Minister and party leader Ramesh Lekhak to appear before the investigation commission led by former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki to record his statement regarding the Gen Z movement.
According to party spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, the suggestion was made during the Central Working Committee meeting held at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Wednesday afternoon.
“Today’s meeting discussed the issue of Mr. Lekhak receiving a letter from the investigation commission,” Mahat said. “Party leaders advised him to go to the commission and present his side.”
The Karki-led commission had sent a letter to Lekhak on Tuesday, summoning him to appear and give his statement on Friday.
