The Department of Prison Management has decided to transfer Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who is currently in custody at Rupandehi Prison on charges related to a cooperative fraud case.
According to the department’s information officer, Sandesh Prasad Joshi, Lamichhane, who had requested a prison transfer, will be moved to Nakkhu Prison today. The official letter regarding the decision has already been sent to Rupandehi Prison.
“We have already issued the transfer decision and dispatched the letter today,” said Information Officer Joshi. “With necessary security arrangements, he will be brought to Nakkhu as soon as possible.”
