Over the past few days, gold and silver prices in the local market have been rising continuously, with both metals recording further increases today. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has reached Rs 269,300 per tola, while silver is being traded at Rs 4,585 per tola. These are the highest prices recorded so far for both metals.
On Wednesday, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 268,100 per tola and silver at Rs 4,420. On Thursday, prices saw a slight decline, with gold trading at Rs 267,500 per tola and silver at Rs 4,400.
Analysts attribute the recent surge in gold and silver prices to the strengthening of the US dollar. In the international market, gold is currently being traded at USD 4,500 per ounce, while silver is priced at USD 75 per ounce, according to international media reports.
