Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Ravi Lamichhane, and Ujyalo Nepal Party patron and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising are set to sign a party unity agreement on Friday.
Sources say the three leaders are expected to finalize and sign the agreement by this evening. Prior to the signing, all three sides are completing internal preparations and planning a joint meeting. After holding final discussions together, the leaders will sign the agreement today and prepare to formally announce the party unity at a public event on Saturday.
The unity move is aimed at the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, with alternative political forces and the Gen Z generation coming together to challenge the country’s traditional political parties.
