A 43-year-old man from Dungeshwor Rural Municipality–5 of Dailekh has died during treatment after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday morning.
The victim, Jang Bahadur Budha, was struck by a vehicle on the road near Tempo Park in Birendranagar Municipality–1. According to police, Budha was seriously injured when an unidentified vehicle hit him while he was lying on the road under the influence of alcohol.
He was rushed to the Provincial Hospital, where he died during treatment, said Deepak Magarathi, Information Officer and Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Surkhet. Police have stated that a search is ongoing to identify the vehicle involved in the incident.
