The Nepali Congress has announced that it will submit its proportional representation (PR) list for the upcoming House of Representatives election to the Election Commission on Monday.
Party spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat shared this information while speaking to journalists in Sanepa on Sunday. He said discussions are ongoing within the Central Working Committee with leaders from the central executive committees of all seven provinces, after which the list will be finalized and submitted to the Commission by Monday.
Dr. Mahat noted that preparing the proportional list is a significant task, as 110 members of parliament will be selected through the proportional representation system.
He also remarked that the chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah, who has joined the RSP, cannot be described as individuals without controversy.
